They try to fit you into a tiny fishbowl called femininity.

And you are a whale.

You may not want to fit in at first,

But that's where the sun shines brightly everyday.

It's the place that gets glory and fame.

So you cut off your big fins, and your beautiful body

To cram yourself into the fishbowl.

But it's only once you’re in, that you’ll realise

You’re not even yourself anymore.

Then, one day, you'll see another whale swim by.

She doesn't, so much as, bat an eye towards the fishbowl.

She is happy, free. Her path is spot-lit by her own little sun.

“How can that be?” you’ll wonder.

And you might realise the fishbowl is only a tiny part

Of an entire ocean of femininity.

You need only to explore its depths

To find the version that makes you happy.
